Astrology Now in March-April 2005 - Endings and Beginnings, Getting Clear

by Robert Wilkinson

UPDATE:
I forgot to tell you all to slow down and take it easy tomorrow on St. Patrick's Day, given the Mutable T-square with Moon opposed Pluto square Sun and Venus square Pluto. It's a great time to separate from those who are preventing you from getting concrete results from your efforts, or distracting you. Get clear about your needs vs your desires, don't get into "either-or" frames of reference if possible, and take care of the detail work. This will most affect those born the middle of March, June, September, and December, or anyone with planets in late Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

We are now at the end of the end of the year, so I'm sure many are feeling a bit uncertain even as we stand at the threshold of new activity. Spring begins at the equinox on March 20th, so until then meditate on what you want to see come forth in the year to come, and then be ready to spring into action NOT. As I mentioned last week, in case you didn't notice Mercury has begun to slow down rapidly, preparing to go retrograde on March 19th. This will last through April 12, so be willing to put some things on hold for a few weeks, and do whatever else you need to do that you've put off before now. This should be a better Mercury retrograde than most, due to the favorable aspects. Link to the three Mercury retrograde articles here. Still, life may take some strange twists and turns over the next three weeks, so try to be flexible, and adaptable. Remember that things aren't always as they seem and that they may not turn out as expected, often for the better, though we may not realize that until later.

We've been living with the Grand Irrationality for some time, along with the weirdness of having several new and full moon lunations conjunct or opposed to Uranus and Neptune. Then we factor in the Cardinal T-squares of January that gave us a re-orientation, forcing us to deal with powerful energies and focus on being our true self, moving into new or pioneering future oriented activities. Mars triggered the same T-square in early March, giving our new life and affairs a boost. With Mercury now heralding another set of Cardinal T-squares in April involving the same signs, we will have to stay organized and responsible as we move into our freedom to reshape our lives to make them simpler, to further the efficiency we've found in the past few weeks. T-squares can be stressful, but also help us to integrate our energies.

So rehearse, review, rethink, reshape, don't let things get out of balance, and do the exercises you need to in order to get control of your affairs. Anticipate what's coming, unveil whatever you need to, jettison excess psychic baggage and unnecessary considerations, and spur yourself forward. It's an exercise in knowing how to manage your life on your terms, and not feel badly in the midst of the generic weirdness. In fact, we've had to live with it for so long now that our Higher Self now knows what it's up against, and we're getting clearer about our intention and how we are going to do our thing despite the atmosphere. We now have more strength and determination than we did even a few weeks ago, and spring is on the way!
