Astrology Hot Zones for April-May 2005 - Yods and Fingers of God, all signs finding the balance

We are approaching another span of time where we will again confront multiple Yod configurations, also known as "The Finger of God." As you know from other articles on this site, a Yod involves three planets, with one of them double quincunx the other two which sextile each other, forcing multiple "expansions through sacrifice." During a Yod (or in ourselves if we have one in our chart) we sacrifice much to focus a powerful expansion wherever the "nozzle" of the Yod is located. This focus significator is truly acting as a "Finger of God," pushing us toward the highest spiritual manifestation of those planets in our chart to the degree we are able. We have several coming in the next few weeks, these different than the Saturn Yod we were under in 2003-2004 that will return in May-June 2005. Obviously this affects different people differently, since people are not all equally Self-realized. Under the influence of a Yod transit, every one of us is challenged to a form of productive self-improvement, indicated by the two planets in sextile aspect. The Yods of late April involves the on-going Jupiter in Libra quincunx Uranus in Pisces when Venus in Taurus sextiles Uranus quincunx Jupiter from April 22-25 followed by the Sun between April 27 through May 1st. The final one of this series is triggered by Mercury between May 17-19. These adjustments will affect everyone, and especially those born in the first few days of every month, with Jupiter challenging those born early January, April, July, and October, Uranus challenging those born early March, June, September, and December, and the Taurus planets challenging those born early February, May, August, and November. Anyone with planets around 9-12 of any sign is affected by these Fingers of God.

This shows as a productive building practical inventiveness in the Taurus and Pisces areas in our charts, while forcing us to sacrifice obsolete Taurus and Pisces qualities to further our specific Jupiter in Libra manifestations. This can mean lots of things depending on your specific circumstances. It shows unique subtle awarenesses work in productive simplicity to push a new vision, a new balance, a new life rhythm, or a new ideal of beauty in the area of our chart influenced by Jupiter in Libra. Lots of Jupiter sacrifice to further the areas in our charts ruled by Taurus, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Virgo, Capricorn and Aquarius. Everyone needs to adjust their sense of perspective during this time span to further harmony or rhythmic productivity.

The late April Yods will put Jupiter at degrees where we learn to cooperate, teach and be taught, assist and protect, and be kind. We will have to be more "whole-Souled" in giving ourselves to a form of service, and see who is willing to contribute to a greater effort. Either come out of the darkness into the light, or deepen your dedication to finding that which can provide light and warmth to self and others.

For some, a greater dedication to humanity will be revealed, along with higher responsibilities. For others, a mastery at being able to "fly by the seat of their pants," regardless of how obscure conditions become. Some will begin to survey possibilities, and which goods will be needed to live the new life. Others will merely cultivate their ego, though of course this will create difficulties beginning August, definitely challenging those who cling to obsolete views by November.

The first half of May, the Sun and Venus sextile Saturn in Cancer with all quincunx to Pluto renews the hard adjustments we've been in before, in July-August 2004 and again in January-early February 2005. This time in early May will complete that series of hard shifts and sacrifices, and set major transformational seeds into motion that will bear fruit this November-December 2005. This set of configurations will primarily affect those born around the middle of each month, with Saturn challenging those born mid January, April, July, and October, Pluto challenging those born mid March, June, September, and December, and the Taurus planets challenging everyone born the middle of February, May, August, and November.

Again, the keywords are "expansion through sacrifice," so regardless of what sign you are and how your particular chart is challenged by planet, sign, house or aspect, stay focused on the positive and productive expansions even as you go through the sacrifices.
