Global Astrology Overview of June 2005 - Tugs of War and New Discoveries for Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces

Gemini is the time when we naturally make new discoveries as a result of our mental outreach. Of course, the mind is inconsistent if nothing else, thus the inherent internal dilemmas in all three decans (10 degree segments of a sign) of Gemini. Each is a contradiction, and requires finding a way to deal with what is known in esoteric philosophy as "the tension of opposites." So Gemini is where we are exposed to paradox, helping us to find points of view and approaches that will assist us in dealing with the various contradictions in our own mind as well as others.

Besides the inherent contradictions in the sign of Gemini, during this time in history both Uranus and Pluto are sources of dynamic tension, breakdown, and breakthrough at this time of the year, since Uranus squares Gemini and Pluto opposes it. It also occurs in all the other Mutable signs, those being Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. All are under stress from two of the outermost "spiritual" planetary influences. In Gemini, we are required by the challenging aspects to find an effective order, discrimination, and be educated about what characterizes a thing or situation. Remember, the first few days of the month is stressed due to the Mars square Pluto, affecting everyone with planets in late Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces. This is quickly followed by Mercury opposed Pluto and then square Mars, creating a general tension that will fragment many things while offering curious blessings that free us from old routines. Visualize carefully what you want to see become real in your future on June 9-10-11, as this is an especially powerful time for visualization, meditation, or contemplation. Keep your conception of things clear without letting others' negativity throw you off your balance, and be compassionate, adaptable and realistic about what is more trouble than it's worth from a practical point of view. Tensions high - keep your head.

There are no planets in Earth this month, and the element balance shifts from lots of Air at the beginning of the month to lots of Fire at the end, with substantial Water throughout the month. This indicates lots of feelings, ideas, and interactions followed by lots of feelings, inspiration, and energy with very little practicality or groundedness. Because feelings will be excessive this month, keep moving with the changes without freaking out. Keep things as orderly, simple, and practical as possible. There will be tremendous arousals and catharses this month due to Saturn's position, and we're all finalizing an old way of experiencing and feeling our lives and relationships, preparing for newer, more inspired and lively experiences when Saturn begins its 2+ year stay in Leo beginning mid-July. I'll write more extensively on this in the future.

The Jupiter-Uranus quincunx will bring significant adjustments in areas ruled by Libra, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces, so take heart, be positive, simplify, try to enjoy yourself in gentle ways, and give up whatever strange stuff is associated with Uranus in Pisces in your chart. Uranus hitting its station in mid-June accents the need for us to be willing to walk on in some way that eventually will guide us to "our sanctuary." Mercury speeding from Gemini through Cancer into Leo shows the areas of our charts ruled by Gemini and Virgo will quicken substantially, as well as take interesting turns into new understanding, new sensitivity, and new expression.
