George Bush Astrology - It's his Second Saturn Return
by Robert Wilkinson
Our prez is now in the exact hot zone of his second Saturn return, never an easy time. It's pretty standard knowledge that from now on, he needs to back off from whatever he's been doing up to now, and turn toward other goals and other forms of fulfillment. Will he do this? Probably not, which usually means he'll be having a harder and harder time struggling to keep up the pretense of his old way of defining his purpose. He may be able to keep up a false front for a few more months due to Jupiter in Libra conjunct his Neptune, Moon, and Jupiter in Libra, but his confidence is not warranted by the very difficult aspects at work in his chart.
Jupiter in Libra since last October has been fairly good to him, but square his Sun has led him to an inflated sense of himself and his mission. Saturn on his Saturn has absolutely affected his health, and he is visibly older-looking than even a year ago. He will continue to suffer increasing difficulties when Saturn goes into Leo and conjuncts his Mercury for over a year. This will bring severe challenges to his thinking and ways of viewing and interpreting things, and his opponents will increasingly find flaws in his reasoning and arguments. This often brings defensiveness and stubborn insistence that the old views are right, even though it is best used to "go back to school," learning other things that help to deepen the thinking and reasoning skills.
Other stressful factors: Uranus in a long term opposition to his Mars, showing that the more he's belligerent, the more forces beyond his control will oppose him. It is probably making him a little more fanatical than usual, and any sense of superiority or infallibility will be shattered every time the Moon squares this opposition. He's about to enter a particularly rough patch in the near future due to Mars in Aries square his Sun in Cancer and opposed his Moon and Jupiter. Hot zones are throughout the first two weeks of July. Then Mars squares his Saturn between July 20-29, probably not great for him either. Even though Mercury and Venus are both in Leo, thus giving his imperious side a boost, when Mercury goes retrograde expect a retro part of him to show up. I'll describe more about this upcoming Mercury retrograde period for all signs in the near future.
To close this short look at our prez, things will not get better for him when Mars goes into Taurus. In fact, he's going to have multiple setbacks beginning August, and whatever he thinks he's doing will fall into confusion later this year, when equally stubborn and intransigent forces will force him to accept certain limits. He will not have a good time from mid-August on, and financial issues will begin to dominate his life, none of it good news given what's coming.
