Some Great Astrological (and Metaphysical) Articles You May Have Missed
by Robert Wilkinson
As readers of this column know, I've posted quite a few articles here over the past 14 months, some of which disappear into the library pretty quickly. And as you know, besides the ones that describe what's happening now, there are others that are timeless in their themes, relevant whenever one reads them. So I thought that on this long July Fourth weekend I'd pull some of the better ones for your reading or re-reading pleasure. Some of my favorites are "Astrology and Love, It's All Free," Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3. Of course, I added a "prequel" to these last Valentine's Day at this post, important because the theme is how to know the difference between seduction and courtship.
Another one close to my heart involves the Potato Project, an amazing response to lessening hunger in America, and a model for any community anywhere things are grown. From the sublime to the ridiculous, here's one from the Twilight Zone involving a fish speaking in Hebrew to a Christian fishmonger that attracted quite a bit of attention. Supposedly a dead mench spoke through a fish about to be chopped that the end times are coming, and it was witnessed by more than one. If it's right, we're definitely in the end times! Or maybe if the creatures all started to speak languages we understood, we might not kill as many of them as we do.
Here is an article on the sources of suffering, of course followed by this one on ways to end suffering. Here's one on the basics of Astrology, while this one on Grant Lewi offers a look at one of the greatest astrologers of all time. I learned a lot from this pioneer of "free will" astrology and champion of the notion that we command our stars and that our responses are not predetermined.
Here is the original post I wrote the night I saw What the bleep do we know, one of the most amazing movies ever made, from a variety of angles. The equally revealing Whatthebleep - Reflections has garnered an enormous number of hits since I posted it, and elaborates on some of the deeper themes to consider. And here are the Three Truths as I have found them, universal to all who live on Earth regardless of where or when.
I trust I've given you some things to laugh at and think about in the above selection. Enjoy!
