Astrology Now in July 2005 - A Very Productive New Moon In Cancer
by Robert Wilkinson
Due to the wealth of favorable aspects between the rulers of many signs, this week and next should actually be great for making progress in multiple areas of our lives. The New Moon at 15 degrees Cancer on July 6 at 5:02 am PDT ushers in a time of "materialization of the spiritual," which will yield good or bad results depending on whether people are living their integrity or not. We'll all be involved in forms of fulfilling truth, and no doubt indulging our senses. Some will turn to superficial worldly things for self-sustainment, and there will be many favorable interactions and gatherings due to the on-going Venus conjunct Mercury, which is already slowing, preparing for its retrograde period to come in a few weeks.
Favorable indicators at this New Moon are the Venus sextile Jupiter while opposing Neptune, forming a strong building configuration invoking positive Aries energies, great for new beginnings, quick activity, and pioneering endeavors. The rectangle formed by this grouping with Mars in Aries should produce major positive developments wherever it falls in the chart. The New Moon is square Mars, integrating everything into positive Capricorn focus. Take responsibility, be mature, conduct affairs at the highest level of dignity, and practice the Capricorn virtues of justice, economy, reserve, prudence, dependability, self-control, humility, efficiency, and self-sacrifice. Try not to be touchy or defensive, and prepare to consolidate your life around the decisions you've made that are now fulfilling themselves in a significant form. The Mars sextile Neptune should help us all to make progress toward our higher ideals, finding a way to preserve potency by avoiding extremes as parts of our life continue to be unveiled.
The biggest challenge of this coming period is to avoid over-indulgence, jumping to conclusions, being too egocentric or aggressively self-interested, or losing perspective about what's right, just, fair, and balanced. Learn a simple efficient self-control, follow through on duties, obligations, and responsibilities, and accept life's richness as you effectively and smoothly demonstrate your competence.
