The Question of Space People and Extraterrestrial Contact, Pt. 1

I wrote this article in response to someone who requested clarification about paranormal experiences they and others have had. Is there really any question that there are other forms of life in our solar system? There have been too many manifestations of other and higher forms of life for anyone to deny that we live in a universe of many different intelligences. Of course, it could be said that since we are not even the most intelligent life forms on Earth, who are we to judge? How can we presume to comprehend what the level, intention, or motives of other life forms really are, when we cannot even figure out how to relate to our whales? They are truly our closest contact with a higher intelligence. Their brains are so much more sophisticated than ours are, much more intricately wired, with infinitely more capability given its size and complexity. The dolphins, along with other creatures such as cats, dogs, horses, elephants, and others, are also beings whose powers of a higher intelligence are legendary. If we cannot comprehend the motives of a cat, a dolphin, or an elephant, maybe we should be cautious in presuming to comprehend the motives of what we suppose to be extra-terrestrial life!

There is no question that all throughout our world there are forms of intelligent life, some of our species notwithstanding. Some of what we think are outer space beings are actually just different life forms that are part of our planet, such as nature spirits. Then there are yet other life forms, invisible to us, also attempting contact with us through their own means. Other times, some of what is believed to be extra-terrestrial contact may be Angels, Devas, great Spirits, or invisible “guides” manifesting to our perceptions, showing us a larger view of the life that’s all around us. Then there are the legendary points of contact that clearly indicate that Beings of Light do occasionally visit humanity. Was the great and legendary Avatar, Sri Krishna, actually a “space being?”

Since the 1840’s, there has been a tremendous awakening in humanity to the fact that Life manifests in many forms, invisible and visible, and due to human evolution, the 1940’s re-echoed this vibration of our human lifewave reaching out for contact with the beyond. This time, though, instead of reaching into the 19th Century realm of invisible ghosts, doppelgangers, and astral shells, or the more-evolved Theosophical world of Masters, the Angelic realms, and the Invisible Host, humanity reached out with its collective yearning to beings from “outer space.” And they began to manifest, in various forms, since thought-forms do manifest in some form or another if held long enough.

Still there is much superstition about the subject, and very little that is truly “verifiable,” in terms of stories of personal contact. Here I emphatically state that the entire philosophy some hold regarding stolen DNA strands and future human enslavement by outer space beings is not coherent or sustainable under examination. Beware of “Adam, Eve, and the Devil” stories that wear the masque of modern rationalization. The idea that ancient space people “stole” most of our DNA is at odds with extensive historical documentation dating from antiquity about how humanity came to be, and the patterns of future human evolution. We have potentials we have only dreamt of, and no “space person” has the ability to repress them or bring them forth, since only we can do that.

In my studies over the years I have discovered some fairly ancient and reliable source material, some of it not available through mainstream academic libraries but still valid as historical documents in their own right. We have some remarkable material available that can assist us to see human evolution, physically and psychologically, past and future, from a much wider point of view. There are many ancient accounts in various volumes that indicate that humanity has been contacted by space people. The Ramayana, Mahabarata, and the Samaranganasutradhara all invoke images that could easily be interpreted as describing spacecraft and more evolved beings. Even though these are "legendary" sources, they cannot be summarily discounted as fantasies simply because we cannot imagine such a thing.

It is also helpful to consider the source. I tend to have reservations regarding positions that don't take into account source material. Most who debate the legitimacy of the Secret Doctrine or its author, the remarkable H.P. Blavatsky usually have not read it, understood it, and fail to take into account that it is the translation of the first two of thirty-three "commentaries" handed down from pre-history, generation after generation of lamas preserving the link from distant past to distant future. In it we are told of latent powers within us, able to be developed under the proper conditioning. We are also given a map of the larger evolutionary process whereby we may understand the lesser cycles of development in our lives and our very tiny, but beautiful and significant, world.

Humanity has taken an enormous amount of time to reach its present level of development, just like a rose bush takes a very long time to go from tiny root to full-grown plant. And like a mature rose bush that begins to push out flower after flower at the appointed time of the season, so humanity is also straining to push forth flowers of its own evolution. Any evolutionary leap involves a tremendous amount of energy released at a critical moment, so that a totally different perspective on what is sensed or thought naturally comes forth, shutting the door on lesser perspectives forever. Evolution is a one-way street, as is awareness. You can never become more ignorant; you can merely perceive that you are ignorant based on a greater understanding. In the same way, we humans have remained relatively ignorant of our latent possiblities, and we have now reached a point in evolution, both individually and collectively, that portends a major shift in the near future.
