Back to the drawing board It's back to square one again. I thought I did brilliantly at interview today, but the panel obviously didn't share my opinion, because not one of the three candidates was appointed.
To compound my frustration, when I got home I phoned a local school that was looking like my last really good chance for a definite fulltime September post. Though the advertisement was placed only on Friday, and the deadline for applications was the 23rd, they were unexpectedly awkward, and said the cut-off date had been changed, and that I would probably have to deliver my application by hand if I wanted to get it in on time. Sounds a bit underhanded to change the deadline by a week without telling anyone. Makes me think it might be an inside job, and then that makes me mad that some jerks think they can screw around with people like that.
We'll see.
