The Lord moves in mysterious ways: Bizarre ways people discover my blog It's late, and I'm shattered, but I couldn't resist posting this.
I like regularly to check my list of referrers, just to see how people get to the Grace Pages. Top of the list is Salon Blogs, of course. Then there are always a few from other folks' blogs. And recently there have been a handful a day from people looking for information on the disgraced megachurch pastor Douglas Goodman.
But there are some interesting ones in there, too. For example, if you fancy yourself as a confectioner, and want to make some nice cakes with religious designs, a Google search on religious cakes will bring you here. (Honestly, I get at least a few a week looking for recipes.)
But the funniest, and the ones I wanted to tell you about, are the naughty ones. Folks looking for -- how shall I put this? -- a cheap thrill. Tonight I checked my list of referrers and discovered someone had come across my blog by doing a Google search on "wife's panties". No kidding. And the other week someone dropped by looking for "twenty sex pictures per page".
See, if somewhere on my site are all of someone's search terms, even if they're pages apart, chances are they'll show up in a search. Think of the number of hits if I started writing things like naked ladies or hot girls or free nude pictures or bare breasts. See, I probably just guaranteed me a few visitors right there. (I know, that was a sneaky trick.)
Anyway, if you're the one looking for your wife's panties, sorry to disappoint. And if you were expecting twenty sex pictures on every page, I'm afraid you're going to be hard-pushed to find even one. Bad luck. But don't be shy, and don't be a stranger from now on. Drop by again sometime.
