We now have word that the escort passed Wheatland at 10:30.  We do seem to be on schedule.

The escort left Cheyenne at 9 a.m.  There is quite a lot of wind on the highway today so that may cause a slight delay.   We are expecting that the Wall has now passed by Wheatland and will be on its way to Glenrock for the lunch break.

Here we go – the Memorial will soon be on its way.  The escort will leave at 9 a.m. this morning from Little America in Cheyenne.  Contact Bill at 307 632 2096 for more information about the Cheyenne Leg.  To participate in the Wheatland leg call 307 322 3942.  The Glenrock contact is 307 436 5652.  The Escort and Memorial will be stopping for a lunch break hosted by the Glenrock Chamber.  To join this group for lunch meet at the Classic Café.  After lunch the escort will travel through Casper to Shoshoni…. then Shoshoni to Thermopolis and on to Worland.

Be sure to go out and greet the escort with American Flags. At last we can say “Welcome Home” to our Vietnam Vets.  Create a Flag Lined Path starting at the Co-op Convenience Store.  Keeping the welcome on the South side of Big Horn Ave to 15th Street then continue to line up on the West Side of 15th Street to Howell.   Continue down Howell Ave on the North Side of the Street to 12th Street and to Sanders Park where the Memorial will reside.

Listen to KWOR/KKLX and KTHE/KWYN/KDNO for hourly updates.    Bill Harrington will announce the Memorials arrival time within the 5:00 hour.

So get ready -- and listen up!  Let’s show our appreciation.

P.S. -- Check this BLOG all day for hourly updates.
