Giving thanks, again

Today started as a day without pity, with a toddler climbing on my head at 6 a.m., with the H out the door at the crack of dawn, a cranky baby, a schedule constructed like a house of cards on a shaky folding table, so much traffic everywhere that I wanted to just pull over and give up.  I was late to every appointment, worried about my kids, feeling guilty for being away from them.  But in the midst of a frazzled feeling day, I had moments of grace, courtesy of my friends.  Today, in many different ways, a bunch of really incredible women reaffirmed my place in their lives and their place in mine, and to them all, I am so, so grateful.
