This is a staggering website. It's the Center for American Progress' "Claims Vs. Facts" page. Essentially, it's a massive database which you can use to look up conservative speakers or writers, sort them by topic, and find the factual debunking of their lies. It's clearly not complete, or close to it, but CAP is a brilliant organization. They'll get it all together. It's super-impressive, either way. I'll be using it a lot.

You know, I've almost stopped paying attention to the damned polls. Of course, I'm lying when I say that. The thing is that the polls are absolutely schizophrenic. Last week, there was all this hoo-ha over the polls showing Bush taking the lead in some polls. But now the New York Times poll shows that the public's support for Iraq has gone down from 58 percent last month to 47 percent this month, and I think we can agree that that's really, really bad news for Bush. His approval rating is 46 percent overall in that poll. Face it: the only thing the guy has to run on is his handling of terrorism and Iraq, and while those are, in fact, two issues, Bush himself has chosen to make them one issue. So if more and more people, for right or wrong, see Iraq through the Vietnam lens, Bush is done for. But next week, undoubtedly, a poll will coming out showing that support for the war is surging and that the public loves Dubya. I'm hanging on every poll.
