Comedy Central Gets Network ID Remix from Eyeball NYC, Expansion Team May 10, 2004. Don't expect me to be timely. Just because something's been posted for a year doesn't mean I can't still be impressed and inspired. I love the Comedy Central transitions. Author Katie Makal writes:

After opening in the same way as the old ID, each remix takes a dramatic, schizophrenic shift, exploding in a flurry of graffiti tags and spray paint. "We wanted to take a fun, expressive approach to remixing these IDs," said Limore Shur, creative director of EyeballNYC. "Each transition punches you in the face and says, 'This is where we are now,' with no subtlety about it."

Cool Quicktime video clips comparing old and new. Oh, I wish I could do these.

Recommended for the artist with a yearning to get somewhere: Franklin McMahon's Media Artist Secrets. His podcasts (8 so far) are informal, engaging and motivating.

REDESIGNING is Born

old photoREDESIGNING is a reinvention of this blogspace. My aim to to create a resource for myself and others -- something that will help us explore the roots of creativity and craftsmanship. It's one thing to have talent, quite another to make that talent productive.

My target audience is the visual, sound, and written word artist -- creative people who care about craft and energized people on the lookout for new ways to turn passion into product.
