I think it's every man's dream to fuck lots of beautiful girls and I am fortunate enough to have been able to do a lot of girls. Sudanese Porn

September 16, 2006: Last August, Sudan introduced a clever new ploy to gather intelligence. Foreigners entering the country by air had their laptop computers seized at the airport. The police wanted to search the computers for pornography, which is forbidden in Sudan (which is run under Islamic law). The laptops were to be returned within 24 hours. It's uncertain if the objective of this policy was to really find pornography, spy on foreigners, or just further annoy foreigners (who the Sudanese government does not welcome in so many ways.) Laptop users can easily install various security programs on their laptops to hide, and/or, encrypt information they don't want Sudanese police looking at. It's not known if anyone has done that yet, or if the Sudanese have found any porn on the seized laptops.

Taking a page from the Mary Carey campaign book in California, Melody Damayo (better known as Mimi Miyagi during a career as one of porn's top Asian stars) is running for governor of Nevada.

As a Republican.

Why are the porn stars always Republicans?

At a recent fundraiser, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported, Damayo gave a brief stump speech before hosting a dance competition.

"I want everyone to know that I'm here to bring back the roots of the Republican Party: freedom, freedom of speech, freedom to party, free enterprise," Damayo said. "Now it's time to limbo!"

Damayo, 33, is a Philippines native who quit porn in 2003 with the appropriately named film, "Happy Ending." She still works as an exotic dancer, but will probably give that up if she's overseeing Nevada.

"I'm a girl from a small village in a Third World country who came here to realize a dream," she said, not realizing that the dream would be wet.

In 2004, Damayo dipped her toe into the political pool by volunteering for the re-election campaign of President Bush. "That's when I realized that this is what I wanted to do with the rest of my life," she said.

"I'm kind of like the spokesmodel for politics right now," she added. "That's fine. Anything to get people to hear the message."

Although turnout at Damayo's fundraiser was sparse and most of the folks in attendance were neither Republicans nor registered to vote, Kevin Child, a Republican candidate for county recorder, was there, trying to drum up votes - including Damayo's - for himself.

"She's a Republican," he told the Review-Journal, "and she lives in Clark County. As long as she doesn't make me take my clothes off, I'll be fine."

A month after the death of E. Pierce Marshall, who feuded for years with Smith over his father J. Howard Marshall II's oil fortune, his relatives say they are more committed than ever in their legal battle against the former Playboy playmate.

"Nothing has changed from the family's standpoint as to how this case should end up and we will handle it as Pierce did, in his honor," the family told the Dallas Morning News in a written statement.

A federal court in California awarded Smith $474 million in a complicated legal twist that began after she declared bankruptcy. That was later overturned.

Last March, Smith won another victory when the U.S. Supreme Court revived the case. The justices ruled that federal courts could have jurisdiction and told the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals to reconsider her case.

The new estate rep is Elaine Marshall, E. Pierce Marshall's widow.

Porn star ends silence Deep Throat's Reems reclaims life

TORONTO -- He wasn't born Harry Reems. But the 1970s porn actor has decided to retain what is one of the most obvious noms de plume in film history. At 58, Linda Lovelace's notoriously endowed co-star in the seminal adult feature Deep Throat has pulled his once-seamy life out of the sewer and has reinvented himself as a still-handsome, silver-haired and successful real estate entrepreneur in the tony winter resort community of Park City, Utah. But it was a close call. For 20 years he kept silent about his story, convinced only recently by the producers of an HBO documentary Inside Deep Throat (released last week on DVD by Universal) that they would portray him fairly. They did. And so now Reems is speaking out. Born Jewish in the Bronx in 1947 as Herbert Streicher, he has reclaimed his marquee name despite the imagery. "I'm not looking to garnish any business because of it," he says. "I didn't want to be thought of as denying my past. So I kept the name Harry Reems and (am) very forthright about who I am and what I've done. Park City is a very small town of about 3,000 families and everybody knows everybody." He began making X-rated pictures in the 1960s - when they were still known as stag films. He had worked with both Lovelace and Deep Throat director Gerard Damiano before. But in late 1971, Damiano had the idea of breaking with convention and shooting a film to take visual advantage of Lovelace's special talents for onscreen fellatio. Reems played a faux sex doctor who discovers a solution to the Lovelace character's frustrating anatomical anomaly. The film was shot in six days for $25,000 US and went on to gross more than $600 million, making it technically the most profitable film in history. But it did more than that. It broke through morality barriers, playing in big cities and small towns, attracting lawsuits and the ultimate attention of the feds. As Reems explains it, the Nixon administration wanted something to detract from Watergate (which had its own infamous Deep Throat) and so launched a massive legal campaign against pornography. The FBI arrested Reems in the middle of the night and he was put on trial for conspiracy to transport obscene materials. This, even though he was only an actor in the film who had been paid $100. "Linda Lovelace and Gerry Damiano were witnesses for the government," Reems recalls. "They were granted immunity. I was not. They took the stand, pointed at me and said, 'Yes, that's the guy.' " Also arrayed against Reems were witnesses from the Columbo crime family, which owned the rights to Deep Throat. "It was a kangaroo court," Reems says. Stars like Warren Beatty and Jack Nicholson came to his defence, but it was Jimmy Carter's winning of the White House in 1976 that saw the $3-million trial thrown out by the Democrats. Reems was then offered the coach role in Grease but was dropped after 10 days. "So the writing was on the wall. I knew I was not going to make the conversion into more conventional entertainment." He was depressed, afraid to make any more X-rated films, and slid into years of booze, drugs and panhandling. Once he fell asleep in New York and woke up in L.A. county jail a week later, bailed out by Hugh Hefner. He entered a 12-step program on Hefner's advice and today boasts he's clean and sober. "It turned my entire life around. I've converted to Christianity, I'm happily married and monogamous." Asked delicately if he still attracts curiosity for his legendary, er, manhood, Reems just laughs. "Oh, I get those questions, I don't answer them."

Mummy, I want to be a porn star Pornography is becoming so acceptable in Britain that even teenage girls see it as a career, writes Kira Cochrane ‘Imagine if Starbucks offered a shot of alcohol with your morning coffee. Then there was beer in the office and at lunchtime we all automatically ordered a bottle of wine rather than sparkling water. If alcohol were that available we’d all start drinking more and any stigma would gradually disappear. And that’s how things are developing with porn.” So says Pamela Paul, the American author of Pornified: How Pornography is Transforming Our Lives, Our Relationships and Our Families. Paul has been looking into the effects of pornography on society and her investigation seems incredibly timely. While Britons may lag behind their European counterparts in education and living standards, it was revealed last week that the UK has become the porn capital of Europe, with access to 27 porn television channels. Germany, our nearest rival, has just five. This represents only a tiny part of a £31.5 billion global industry. As even the most sheltered know, hardcore material is available over the internet, with 25% of all searches seeking to access one of the 1.3m porn websites. It’s also more available in magazines and even marketed directly to our mobile phones. With so much material around, porn imagery has naturally crossed into the mainstream. It can now be found at children’s eye level on many supermarket newsstands (in magazines such as Nuts and Zoo), and in advertising (last year, for instance, a stereo system was promoted with a woman bound head to foot in black vinyl tape). It’s there in the lyrics of Christina Aguilera, the styling of Britney Spears and even the poses of mannequins in Madame Tussaud’s (where a waxwork of Kylie Minogue depicts her on all fours with her bottom poking into the air). So it is not surprising that Paul’s research flags up some shocking findings, including the appeal of porn’s “glamour” image to young girls. “I found pre-teen girls who were putting pictures of porn stars on their personal web pages and providing links to porn websites,” she says. “I learnt about them through a porn actress who’d published a bestselling autobiography and was surprised when pre-teen girls showed up at signings. They said they saw her as a positive icon.” Although women have yet to catch up with men (and the material they access is usually much softer core, such as Sweet Action, the independent “porn for women” magazine), Paul found that more women are using porn: 32m women visited at least one adult website in January 2004, according to her study. In a magazine poll 41% of women said they had intentionally viewed or downloaded erotic films or photographs. More than one in 10 had watched or sexually interacted with someone on a live webcam. These findings support a recent British survey of 1,000 girls, aged 15-19, which found that 63% aspired to be glamour models, while 25% preferred the idea of lap dancing. For many, the erotic lifestyle and look is not seedy but has become aspirational. Paul also spoke to a group of twentysomething men who had grown up with the internet, “consuming porn literally every day since they were 14. Our sexual cues and desires are learnt during adolescence, and . . . these young men were regularly viewing bestiality and group sex”. This last point underlines another reality about porn, says Paul. Most people have no idea of what is actually out there: “Baby boomers associate porn with Playboy or page 3.” Most women also believe that their husbands would never use porn but this could be a misconception, too. More men than ever are using porn and the material they are accessing is becoming progressively hard core. The heaviest demand on the internet is for “deviant” material, including paedophilia, bondage and sadomasochism. During the course of her research Paul spoke to 80 men. Even those who described themselves as “casual users” were watching as much as one hour of porn on the internet each day. Although porn consumption among women is increasing, it is clear that many have mixed feelings about it. Many of the conversations that Paul had with young women, even those who used porn, began with “I’m not a prude, but . . .” or “I’m really liberal, but . . .” as if they had to apologise for feeling shocked by some of the things they had seen.
