Postal Services Agree to Cease Fire

(Listening to Elliott Smith's "Waltz #2.  I can never remember "Miss Misery," the song that won him a Grammy nomination, but this song haunts me often.)

The Seattle-based Postal Service has settled infringement claims with the United States Postal Service.  Part of the settlement involves the Postal Service playing at the USPS national convention.  I love it.

The Postal Service is a side project of the redoubtable Ben Gibbard, the mastermind of Death Cab for Cutie.  (And some other guys, who are doubtable as far as I am concerned.  No, just kidding.  I just don't know who they are.)  Apparently, their first album is the second highest seller in the history of Sub Pop Records, right behind Nirvana's first album.
