Revolution on the Bus

As I was coming home today, I saw a woman reading the Revolutionary Worker on the bus.  She was an older woman (50s-ish), dressed in business attire and with her hair pinned in a matronly bun.

She didn't look the type at all.  She opened the paper to the center spread, a blistering assault on "Christian fascists" with the title printed in red.  She seemed to be quite enjoying her Revolutionary Worker.

I was a little surprised at her, but the more I thought about it, the more I liked the image.  Who says that only punks in army jackets and aging hippies in Guatemalan vests should read the Revolutionary Worker?  After all, she was the target audience.

She was a worker.

Que viva la revolución.
