Oliver's Story

Our son is now five months old, and I think it's time to tell you how it all happened.

I've been working for - well, five months - on my version of Oliver's birth, and I've posted it for all to see. It's not a perfect recollection - the only way we could have captured this perfectly would have been to have tv cameras and microphones, and that just wasn't going to happen. It's also my version of his birth - I've run it by Mrs. B, and she's approved it as written, but that is not the same as saying that everything there is exactly how she remembers it.

You see, I am the father. The boy did not come out of my body. I had no anesthesia, no hospital gown to wear, no searing pain in my nether regions. What I mean to say is that I had a completely different experience during Oliver's birth than did his mother.

Nonetheless, here's the way I remember it. Hope you enjoy it. You can read part one here, and part two here.
