How Was Your Day?

4:30 am    Oliver wakes up.  R says, "Didn't you change the diaper pail bag yesterday?  It reeks in here.  I think our diaper pail needs to be replaced."

4:45 am    R changes Oliver's diaper, only to discover massive piles of poo in there.  She estimates that Oliver has been stewing in said poo for hours, causing the stench that she mistakenly attributed to the diaper pail.  Oliver squirms and squiggles throughout changing process, making everything more difficult and complicated.

5:15 am   We both discover to our horror that Oliver's outfit is wet.  Somehow, he's managed to miss his diaper and pee up his side.

5:30 am    I change Oliver's diaper.  Oliver nearly flips himself over during changing process, making changing a wild and slippery experience.  I pick up Oliver to celebrate successful changed diaper, only to have him spit up onto my face, including my cheek and eye socket.  Somehow, he missed my right eye, but just barely.

7:00 am    R leaves for work.  Oliver, by way of goodbyes, spits up all over her suede jacket.

9:30 am    Time for Next Months class, a class for parents of 3-6 month kids.  Twelve mothers, one grandmother, and me.  Oliver is pleasant, sweet, and even lets me tickle him once during class.

11:30 am    Oliver decides to spit up big white chunks on me, his sweatshirt, and his pants near the end of class.

11:40 am   Oliver's sweatshirt comes off, and I put on a fleece jacket instead.  He congratulates me by spitting big white chunky chunks onto the jacket.

1-5 pm    Oliver is squirrelly (no offense intended to the Squirrellytm) all afternoon.  He has a particularly terrible time sleeping from 3-4 pm.  I notice a wet spot on his pants, which I attribute to spitup that hasn't yet dried.

5 pm      R comes home, feeds the baby, and goes to change him.  She discovers a giant-size puddle of pee on his onesie.   Apparently, that wet spot wasn't spitup after all.

5:30 pm After getting a fresh new diaper and outfit, Oliver celebrates by spitting up on R.
