Senate Blocks Patriot Act on Cloture Vote I don't believe it.  I mean, I do believe it.  It's been a rough few weeks for Bush and company, but this is astonishing.  I read Senator Feingold on the TPMCafe website saying that they had a good chance of succeeding with this cloture vote.  My first thought was that he was amazingly optimistic, but he never seemed like an unrealistic man.  I guess he was right. Quite a slap in the face.  Especially when today's headlines are screaming about Bush authorizing wiretaps and other monitoring of "hundreds, perhaps thousands" of Americans without court approval.  Remember when we all thought after 9/11 that Bush and his buddies were about to go crazy spying on us?  It happened, and America's suddenly pissed off about it.  Not to mention the rest of the world.  11:23:46 AM     Speak up!  []
