You want a roundup of the NBA playoffs the way we ladies see it, go over to Danyel's Naked Cartwheels. Here's her take on Kobe as MVP (yes, I agree Danyel. You nailed it):

Bryant isn't the most valuable player in the the league. Valuable, in terms of basketball, which is a team sport, means being the player who adds the most overall value to your team. In other words, regardless of the fact that the Lakers made the playoffs, there are many other players-- [LeBron] James, for one, though he's not my favorite, and Steve Nash, for two -- who are far more valuable to their teams' winning records, apparent team cohesiveness, and overall success. Plus Kobe reeks duplicity. I do not buy him. I'm sure he's heartbroken.
