Two Drifting in the BorderLand of Death

    May 29, 2006

My friend Lupe had cancer.  It had metastasized to her entire body.  She decided to take matters into her own hands, and began learning about natural healing.  Research proves that cleansing the accumulated toxins out of all the organs of the body has a profound effect on cancer.  She did a cleansing fast, then another, then another.  She switched to a diet of all organic foods.  Daily she made copious quantities of fresh organic vegetable juices, so as not to ingest any new toxins.  She had Craniosacral Biodynamics sessions, to release all old traumas, held emotions and stresses from her system.  Her studies taught her that love and joy contribute tremendously to health, so she welcomed them.  Several other therapies were part of her regimen, but I don't remember them all.

Chemotherapy and radiation were not undertaken.

The  cancer receeded, them disappeared.  Lupe had become full of life and love, overflowing with gratitude for a second chance.  She became a colonic therapist, in order to share the somewhat unsavory gift of cleansing with other cancer patients.  She returned to school and became a superior craniosacral therapist.  The line of organic nutritional products she carried was the best.  For around  twenty years she worked with the very ill.   Countless terminally ill patients became healthy again, without harsh medical treatments.  She taught each person about caring for their own needs through clean and healthful living practices and a positive, thankful attitude.

Lupe glowed every day of those years.  Love beamed from her beautiful face.  The softness of her hands during a treatment was like an angel's touch.  People came from far and wide to work with her.

One day the cancer returned.  This time, her strength was not sufficient for the battle.  I saw her several times that year.  Her face was tired, her body thin... but that gentle, heartfelt glow was still there.

Last night Lupe left us and went wherever it is that shining angels go, leaving her miracle body behind.  I will miss her warm, vibrant voice and sweet smile.  On this Memorial Day, I remember her.

In the spirit of rememberance, I want to honor my friend Zetta.  She has been in intensive care for several days, after a sudden emergency.  Before losing consciousness, she asked that I do my healing work across the distance to help her.  That request was a real gift to me!  I was able to connect with her conscious mind as she drifted in a light coma.  We worked with her energy-body to help make her physical body habitable again.  She and her frantic, exhausted partner passed messages back and forth, as she tried to come out of coma.  I've never before accompanied someone on that unusual journey.

Zetta returned to consciousness this morning.  Today she is sleeping and waking normally.  She talks and recognizes people.  We are all so relieved, glad for her strength and determination to return to life.  What a spirit that woman has!

This post is my little song in honor of two of the unsung heroes living around us.  Miracles like theirs are everywhere, quietly blossoming.
