Showcasing the amazing technology that gave us e-mail filters, I just pulled this -- verbatim -- off a journalism listserv:

US judge faces sack for 'immodest conduct'
24/06/2004 - 21:10:39

An American judge is facing the sack after using a "pe nis pump" during court hearings, including a murder trial, it emerged today.

Several witnesses reported hearing the noise of the pump coming from beneath the robes of District Court Judge Donald Thompson, who sits in Oklahoma.

On one occasion a shorthand writer was shocked to see the 57-year-old judge mastur bating during a trial, according to documents filed by the state attorney general.

Maybe if Dick Cheney had said "Go f uck yourself" to Pat Leahy, there wouldn't be all this fuss.

Cheney, in case you missed it, isn't apologetic for his -- can we call it an "outburst" or is that reserved for Al Gore?

Asked if he cursed the Vermont senator, Cheney told the Fox News program, the Cavuto Report, "Probably."

But he said "No" when asked whether he regretted it.

"I expressed myself rather forcefully, felt better after I had done it," Cheney said.

My mom never bought the "I felt better" excuse. Maybe if I'd told her it was a frank exchange of views...

If you really care about this, y'gotta read Table Talk. I'm so loving this post by missfitz:

Between that and Cheney's "go fuck yourself" to Senator Leahy on the day the Senate decided that a "fuck" should cost half a million dollars to utter on the "public" airwaves, the flag of hypocrisy for the GOP should be flying at full staff this weekend on the yapping-asshat politico-shows.

What night-crawlers.

"Asshat"... great word. No way I'm not stealing it.
