I got home from work today and one of the well-intentioned union officials I know had sent me an e-mail.

Senate Passes Measure to make
English the National Language

63-34 vote gives assimilation
key role in immigration debate

http://www.us-english.org/inc/

Look at how Senators from NY & NJ let the Americans citizens in their States down again.

It's time to make sure they're never elected to any office, state or federal again.

Getting this from a union person seriously bothered me, I shouldn’t have been surprised but I was.  Anyway I of course replied:

I am aware of this attempt by the powers that be to distract the hard working men and women that live in this country (legally or not) from the real issues, and turn us against one another so we will be too distracted to take the country back from them in November.

Like Gay Marriage and Flag Burning this is just a non issue that that can be used to divide and rule us. Not a single American citizen will benefit from this bill, but it makes us forget that our sons and daughters are still dieing in Iraq, that gas costs are skyrocketing, that the country is loosing good jobs in record numbers, replacing them with jobs that pay so bad only illegal immigrants are willing to do them, and that while congress recently gave millionaires an average of $32,000 each in tax cuts the average middle class family only got $20.

Never fear however, English is the National Language and we have a fence being built by Halliburton, all is well. We can go back to sleep, that is until Al-Quada attacks again and Uncle Sam needs us to give up more rights so they can "protect us".

SI' SE PUEDE,
