Dear George,
Every ideology contains within it a totalitarian seed. It makes little difference whether an ideology is of the left of the right. But, unless driven by a Hitler or a Stalin, most ideologies fail to reach their full potential. However, the seed is always there and will easily germinate given the proper conditions.
Thanks to the liberals, your seed has germinated and is breaking through the soil and into the sunlight.
The liberal seed is the seed of perfectionism. Nothing suits; they want to change everything. They have an aversion to suffering that makes them a constant threat to the status quo. This is especially true when they are active in the political arena. This is when they are the most dangerous. They fight for social services, political equality and all the programs that subvert the natural order of things.
Its taken twenty-six years, but we have driven the liberals from the political arena. They now focus their energies on child rearing, obesity, air quality, Botox, and cyclist rights, thus leaving public arena to your minions.
The primary example of this liberal shift is the flap over second-hand smoke. It is axiomatic that when one lives in a free community, one is going to see things one would rather not see, hear things one would rather not hear, and smell things one would rather not smell. This simply won’t do for the liberals. They are a fastidious bunch and fastidiousness is the midwife of oppression. So they are quite willing to sacrifice community for fresh air. They claim second-hand smoke is a health hazard, which it is if your spend eight hours a day French kissing a chain-smoking whore. So smoking is banned everywhere, and people are acculturated to the loss of another freedom, which preps them for the nibbles you take out of their civil liberties.
By removing their seed from the public arena, the liberals have given yours ample sunlight and soil to flourish. The liberals are your John the Baptist, preparing the way for your rule. They have helped America internalize the perfectionism that was once enforced with rifle and bayonet.
Your admirer,
Belacqua Jones
