Dear George,

Poor Karl!  He’s the most misunderstood man in America.  His critics are dead wrong when they accuse him of trying to politicalize government.  Karl doesn’t want to politicalize government; he wants to depoliticalize it.

Politics happen only where there is competition and conflict between factions within the State.  Karl wants to marginalize all opposition, thus eliminating the conflict and leading us into an era of cooperative effort.  Authoritarian states are essentially nonpolitical.  The key to this is to sanitize government, to create the illusion of unanimity by demonizing any pockets of opposition that may bubble to the surface.

The marginalization of dissent and debate scrubs the State clean of the political grit that has for too long clogged its gears and sapped its efficiency.  The concept of “unity” is a totalitarian concept.

A nation purified of conflict will never soar, will never inspire.  Under Karl’s skillful hand, the bile of bland acquiescence has blotted out all passion except fear and hate.

Your admirer,

Belacqua Jones.
