This Bush attack ad on Jesus is a nice bit of contemporary political ad parody that has been making the rounds. Doing satire the pre-web era, we did a lot of commericals as performance. TV ads are a wonderful format for skits because many of them are well known to a broad audience and they are so mercifully short, of course. Oddly enough I don't think we ever did candidate ads, We'd have candidate endorsements, but then they'd be "sponsored by" nuclear power, star wars defense technology, or some contemporary boycotted item perhaps. 8:17:02 AM     comment []
