IT'S NOT OUR FAULT!

HERE WE GO AGAIN!

Rumsfeld tells a National Guardsman that they don't have the proper equipment because "You go to war with the army you have, not the army you want."

That statement might have worked after Pearl Harbor because we had no CHOICE but to fight with what we had (left) after the Japanese attack.

That statement is another example of how this administration has NEVER accepted ANY responsibility for it's actions especially as it pertains to Iraq and the war on terror(ists).

When you choose to go to war you should not choose to go without the proper equipment!  That is a failure of the Sec. of Defense and the Generals surrounding him.  This is particularly troubling because 1 2/3 years after the start of the war, we are still having our soldier operate with second rate equipment.

This isn't surprising though.  The Bush Administration has never been a "buck stops here" administration.  For instance:

The failure of intelligence about the Iraq WMD's and the attack on 9/11 has never had heads rolling.  In fact, the people in the National Security office are being PROMOTED!  Condi Rice is becoming Secretary of State and her Deputy is being put in her position.

We also waited till after the election to attack Fallujah giving the insurgents more time to prepare for the attack beecause Bush didn't care about our soldiers lives...he just didn't want the larger casualty numbers comin in before the election.  AND...

We also waited till after the election to put more troops on the ground by calling up more "ready reserve" soliders, National Guards, and extending the tours of duty of many already under fire in Iraq.  AND...

General Tommy Franks said on the Today show that we'll probably have troops in Iraq for "2, 3, 5 to 10 years"!

Well I guess it goes without saying that this doesn't surprise me.
