More Scenes from Wiltshire
Salisbury Plain and Stonehenge
Wiltshire's now famous crop circles come and go... but I have to admit I've probably never seen one despite having lived in the area for many years. I don't really know whether they're done by students or spacemen... by the hand of man or by Erich von Däniken's "aliens"... or by the former acting out the latter. What I do know is that I don't like to see crowds of people trampling all over perfectly good crops for some spurious reason... so I've avoided them.
The product of the hand of man that I do like to see on Salisbury Plain is corn... and although I feel that the four elemental substances of fire, air, earth and water are underestimated in their contribution to this bountiful crop they do, with man, all depend on one another.
