Lenses I've Looked Through
Nikkor 20mm AF
Back in the 1960s when I was discovering a more creative image making style with my first Nikon camera system I "looked" and "saw" wider and wider as my mind and printing style probed further and further towards the extremes of my vision... which was becoming that of the angle-of-view of a 20mm lens. So much so that by the time professional photo dealers had extreme wide-angle lenses such as the 15mm Nikkor for hire (which I borrowed for a long weekend - two and a half days for the price of one - whenever my pay packet and the weather combined to make the exercise feasible) my own 20mm wide-angle had lost something of its earlier visual excitement and was regarded more as a "standard" lens.
