Snippets from an Old Diary
I remember this photo being taken of me in 1964 whilst I was studying at the Regional College of Art in Manchester. I was 20 at the time... but I cannot remember if I had just lost my virginity that lunchtime, or was about to loose it come lunchtime! (I know it was during a lunchtime). I can remember the camera, a Periflex II which used a periscope for focussing... but I cannot remember which girl took it. Some things I remember clearly... others not so clearly.
So every day I'm going through reams of paperwork, piles of files, as well as picking through books and journals to list on eBay... all part of the gradual thinning out of "stuff" that I've accumulated over the past 40 years or so since reaching the age of consent.
One long-forgotten envelope from the late 70s held a small assortment of paper scraps, corners from diary pages and Post-It Notes... the writings on most of which were in red ink... so the thoughts and quotes must have been important to me!
