Photo Theme... Tractors
At 03:00 am this morning, unable to sleep, I left a "comment" on Dick Jones' Patteran Pages weblog... I can't even remember what I said but I felt I wanted to delete it a minute afterwards. When I received a reply from Dick today which read as follows I was surprised, relieved and charmed...
I've had to do several printouts of the above, Ed. Reuben is a major league tractor fan & this excellent pic has really caught his imagination. He's taken a copy to nursery this morning to have it laminated! Sit back & await the commissions...
So I brooded no more on the seriousness of life and wrote...

Your Daddy has told me you are a big tractor fan... I am too, and have photographed many different makes and models in England, Wales and France. Here is a small selection for your scrapbook at nursery school. Hope you like them!

Any Photo requests?
It's nice to be able to show some images which children can appreciate... I'm getting a bit weary of my page hits being more than slightly influenced by sad oglers using Google searches with various key words or phrases combining the words, nude, sex, penis, and so on... I'm not kidding but the combinations of some words almost defies imagination... and I don't mean erotic - but seriously weird. I suppose it's my own fault for including images and articles which used those words or images... but I was urged to "loosen up a bit" by Robin at "Girl in the Locker Room!" not so long ago... but maybe I have adopted the wrong angle. I have to admit my daily page hits did increase by about five-fold shortly afterwards, but whether that was a direct result of being, on occasion, more frank, or whether it was Google ranking me higher through increased relevant content I'm not sure - probably a combination of both as sites are continually crawled by human spiders too (whatever turns you on). But how my "Photo Theme - Numbers" managed to reach a Google #1 position out of over 30+ million pages in only a few days I'll never quite fathom out... however, as it's hardly likely to be my "Fifteen Minutes of Fame" I'll await something more interesting to happen before I celebrate!
As an interesting diversion from my regular photo technical and "Wiltshire wanderings" pieces I'd like to start a thread for "Photo Requests" (with some form of articles) which I would try to do the same day... as here with Reuben's Tractors. It will certainly help me channel my thoughts into a quick project as I'm spending too much time at the moment thinking about things over which I have little influence, no control and are destined to happen for good or bad... and the more rational I try to be in finding an answer the greater the overall confusion.
The ball's in your court... I'm open to ideas... I'm not promising an illustrated or written response... but if a neat idea gets me out of my recurring "State of Stuckness" I'll be thanking you more than you'll be thanking me!
