Tufted Vetch...
and a Black-Veined White butterfly
Strange, how a whimsical change of plan can lead to discoveries which, although not very important in themselves, add to the richness of what one is trying to do and experience. But this is not a one-off happening... many days have surprises.
Although I was looking forward to breakfast, the air was clear and warming up quickly after a cold clear night under a moon just past full... so I decided to head for town, buy a weekend paper, see what vegetables were being sold on the two stalls in the market place every Saturday morning - one hardly a stall, the man places his wares, scales and weights on sacks and newspapers on the pavement. Many stop and talk awhile so that others visiting the vet have to skirt the scene and walk on the road.

Important Site Updates... When I realised that it was becoming easier to Google my own articles and images to find where they were located on this weblog, I decided a change was necessary! During May I transferred a number of articles from this weblog to my new 20/20 Visions site. Having posted well over 220 articles, 200,000 words and more than 600 images here, it has become increasingly difficult to index and cross reference what I write about and to update articles. On the new "20/20 Visions" site it will be split into twenty areas of interest, each with twenty articles... making 400 articles in total.
About one third (200 pages) of the new site is now written up and viewable with half of the main sections itemised in the sidebar... although some sections may only have three or four articles linked at the moment - including "20 Roadside Flora" - whilst others such as "20 Wiltshire Scenes" are complete. In the past week I've been concentrating on the "20 Roadside Orchids" section (with a dozen or more photographed and now written up) because they are to be found locally at the moment. Later in the year I will add more to the "20 Darkroom Tools" listing because when the days are shorter darkroom work comes back to the fore for traditional photographers. Other sections which should take priority and have articles added soon will include "20 Nikon Lenses," "20 Camera Reviews" and "20 Photo Techniques."
The new format is far more interesting for me to write up and will be easier for the reader to look up. For example, if I write about and illustrate the seasonal changes to the walnut trees in the garden, on the weblog those updated entries may be separated over the year by a hundred or more other unrelated pages... but on "20/20 Visions" I can add another continuing page to the same article and the flow of interest is unbroken... have a look.
