Regrettably, It's Got to be Said
He gets a well-earned bollocking from Juan Cole of Salon.com and from me, a beribboned gift basket of FOR CHRIST'S SAKE SHUT UP, HITCH.
Awww, I went on liking him in spite of his hawkishness and everything. I do like his writing.
But finally: shut up, Christopher Hitchens. As the linked article demonstrates, that ship has not only sailed, but been boarded by pirates, stripped of its booty, torpedoed , split in two, and sunk to the bottom of the Marianas Trench. Give it up, leave it out, and just shut up. If you keep quiet for a few months, who knows, your non-hawk fans might start respecting you again. Amnesia happens, especially to Americans.
