THE MCCAIN’S LIES ABOUT OBAMA WILL BITE HIM IN THE DIERRIER IN THE END (SO TO SPEAK)

MCCAIN’S INSISTENCE THAT THE SURGE IS A SUCCESS WAS “SHOT THROUGH WITH HOLES” AFTER FOUR FEMALE SUIDCIDE BOMBERS KILLED SEVENTY PEOPLE AND INJURED OVER ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MORE IN THE HEART OF IRAQ

While I have always considered John McCain to be an honorable man, but during this campaign I have come to realize that his dishonesty results from his insatiable desire to be president at any cost.

I know that in the two thousand elections he was battered by his own party in the name of George W. Bush whose drive for the presidency was greater than McCain’s attempt to be an open, honest and sometimes contrarian candidate. He lost badly and his character was assaulted even worse.

Now, having become the presumptive Republican standard bearer, he is utilizing some of the old Bush tricks to smear Obama.

For example, McCain insists that Obama flip flopped on the issue of a publicly financed campaign. That is a lie. The agreement that Obama signed clearly states that once the candidates for the two major parties were selected, Obama agreed to sit down with the Republican candidate and negotiate the ground rules for the acceptance of accepting publicly provided funds.

One of the main points was the control over #527 groups defined in Wikipedia as follows:

A 527 group is a type of American tax-exempt organization named after a section of the United States tax code, 26 U.S.C. § 527. A 527 group is created primarily to influence the nomination, election, appointment or defeat of candidates for public office. Although candidate committees and political action committees are also created under Section 527, the term is generally used to refer to political organizations that are not regulated by the Federal Election Commission or by a state elections commission, and are not subject to the same contribution limits as PACs.”

In other words, Obama did not want to get caught up in the same web that played into the defeat of John Kerry by the well-heeled and sleazy SWIFT BOAT VETERANS. It was a group spearheaded by a collection of wealthy Texans who paid out millions of dollars outside the funds of the Bush campaign to be employed solely for the purpose of disparaging the name of a true American hero—John Kerry as a counter-offensive to Kerry’s unquestionable heroism.

McCain himself was a victim to the lies that Bush and his handlers leveled against McCain in the South Carolina primary by accusing him of deeds that were manufactured in the heads of Bush’s terror squad designed specifically for the purpose of tarnishing the image of the Senator from Arizona.

Having lived through the damage that a #527 group can impose, upon an opposition candidate, one would think that McCain would be willing to control, eliminate or manage the trash that #527’s are permitted by law to toss onto the television screens indiscriminately.

Obama, indeed, is capable of raising millions of dollars via the internet and therefore has more than enough money to protect him from all of the dirt that McCain’s crew can throw at him. Why in the name of all common sense would Obama give up the financial advantage that for the first time in decades a Democrat has available to him in a presidential campaign.

He did what he said he would do; once the candidates were selected by both parties, his people would negotiate the management and control of money garnered from outside the public financing limitations.

McCain’s people claims he would have no control over #527’s and, in fact, had already allowed racially motivated advertising by the state chairwoman of the Republican Party of North Carolina.

If Obama would have accepted the limitations imposed by federal funding, he would be hog-tied for the remainder of the entire campaign while McCain, who insists he can not control the #527’s would raise twice as much money from the Swift Boat Vets and other reactionary, ideological groups like them as he received from the feds, thus outspending Obama two to one.

Upon Obama’ return from an overwhelming successful trip to the Middle East and Europe McCain heavily criticized Obama for not visiting the troops in an army hospital in Germany. At the very last minute prior to the planned visit to wounded soldiers the Pentagon placed requirements on the visit that Obama could not abide. The visit to the wounded was cancelled because Obama was hamstrung by the military, particularly to make Obama look bad.

McCain knows that. McCain knows that Obama made visits to wounded soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq, and yet he continues to lie and to accuse Obama of being insensitive to the injured soldiers who have sacrificed so much for their country.

McCain lies and he knows it; either that or his senility is outpacing his mental capacity.

He knows that the ads he is running today 7-28-08 are all lies.  The Arizona Senator reports that the Illinois Senator went to the gym rather than visit the soldiers in Germany. Working under the same constraints that the Pentagon arbitrarily imposed on Wednesday prior to his visit on Friday that Obama could not enter the hospital with an entourage from the U. S. press corps, members of his campaign staff and a retired general, Obama, having visited the injured soldiers in both Afghanistan and Baghdad, he chose not to get the soldiers involved in a political row not of their making, cancelled the visitation. I think he should have gone, but having visited these brave, but injured soldiers in both Afghanistan and Iraq where the war is being waged, you would have to be a hypocrite to criticize him.

McCain’s bogus ad relates that rather than visit the injured troops in Germany, Obama decided to go to the gym—which is a unmitigated lie manufactured by his ad campaign people and endorsed by the Arizona Senator with those infamous words, “My name is John McCain and I approve of this ad.”

McCain lied about the propriety of the campaign he would run. He promised during the primary season that he would never run a campaign that was denigrating to his opponent. His voice is so sincere and his words so convincing that I was persuaded that this might, indeed, one of the cleanest presidential campaigns in contemporary history. I was wrong!. He has flip-flopped on more issues than a leaping porpoise at Sea World.

Now that he is running behind, he and his colleagues have decided to take the low road and attack Obama’s character since there is no other part of the Illinois Democrat’s campaign they can attack.

McCain is pronouncing in his campaign speeches that “Obama would rather win a campaign while losing the war,” simply because Obama does not believe that the surge was the victory that McCain repeatedly calls it.

First of all, the visits that McCain has made to Iraq have been charades. He has not been permitted to see behind the façade of a renovated portion of Baghdad. He has not been able to see the results of the violence that has persisted throughout the surge in those out-of-the-way towns and cities that have not had the “treatment” given to the main thoroughfares of Baghdad and the Green Zone.

McCain does not fully comprehend the intent of the Mahdi Shia militia under the command of anti-American Shiite cleric Moqtada al Sadr who called for his troops to retreat just prior to the arrival of the 30,000 or more U. S. surge force.

McCain does not fully understand that the purpose of the surge was to make Baghdad secure enough for the Iraqi Parliament to finish the massive mission of reconciling the three parties (the Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds), and resolving the questions surrounding the distribution of oil revenues, power between the three, plus all of the other eighteen issues that stand in the way of turning this country into a nation.

I do not know if McCain is stupid, blinded solely by his military point of view which everyone knows is only a small part of the dilemma or just being political and attempting to take credit for the pretense of peace that the stand-down of the Shiite militia, the temporary partnership that exists between the U. S. and the Sunnis tribal chiefs and the relative calm in the streets of a portion of Baghdad that has resulted from such pacts.

McCain and his buddy Bush lied to the American when they swore that if the Congress and the people would give their blessing to the surge, our troops would come home if it was successful.

If the surge worked as both Bush and McCain maintains that it has , the troops should be packing their bags; if it has not then stop lying to us, stop tell us that Obama is a political hack who voted against the surge simply for his own political ends.

You are the liar, John McCain and you are the one who wants to be president so badly that you are willing to say anything, do anything, and lie about anything to win the grand prize.

On July 28, 2008, four Muslim women loaded down with suicide bombs hidden under their long, black abaya killed eighty (80) people and injured over one hundred seventy more in the heart of Baghdad and Kirkuk

These people were celebrating at the Shrine of Iman Kadim one of the twelve most revered leaders of the Shiite movement.

Is this is an example of the surge being over and the country ready for agreement on the key issues that have estranged them for 1400 years, or is it simply an example of the kind of civil war we can expect for the remainder of the country’s history? Is this an example of a successful surge where the Iraqi soldiers and police are able to protect the citizens from death and destruction?

I have argued forever that you cannot bring warring factions together in a matter of months while their revolution has lasted for 1400 years.

Only a hard-fisted dictator backed with a mammoth, but steadfastly loyal army and prisons full of the insurgents who will forever fight the tyrant, has ever kept this country in relative peace. What a 30 or 60 or 90 day surge is supposed to accomplish, only fools like Bush, Cheney and McCain can even dream about. More absurd are those like McCain who think of “winning” this civil war and keeping American troops in the heart of the battle for years.

The problem is that he is holds out the promise of a victory to people who are naïve, who have over-dosed on a warped brand of patriotism and whose mind is stuck in the mud of the 20th century when victory over our enemies and control of our friends was the only option for an American who falsely believes that God is blessing its every move and fails to see the flaws both in our foreign policy and our urgent domestic needs.

John McCain is lying about a number of issues that are paramount to America’s future and we must make him eat his words.
