IN MY OPINION, JEROME CORSI IS A BLATANT LIAR, AN ACADEMIC FRAUD AND A DISGRACE TO THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS
THE REPUBLICAN RIGHT IS OVER-POPULATED WITH PEOPLE WHO BRING SHAME TO THEIR PARTY AND DO A TERRIBLE DISSERVICE TO THE POLITICAL PROCESS
THE NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLER LIST IS RIGGED BY THE RIGHT-WING OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY AND ITS AFFILIATES BY ORDERING A SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF BOOKS OF RIGHT-WING AUTHORS TO ASSURE THEM A PLACE ON THE TIMES BEST SELLER LIST ON DAY ONE OF ITS PUBLICATION.
Jerome Corsi and a few of his fellow travelers on the far right wing of Republican political strategy, wrote or edited Unfit for Command that was a compilation of lies Corsi and his co-conspirators put together to destroy John Kerry’s chances to become president of the United States.
Corsi continues his scandalous ways by bringing out another book of fabrications (according to an independent source there are 85 different cock-and-bull-stories in the first few pages of his new book) aimed at destroying Barack Obama entitled The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality.
While MSNBC does no favors to the American electorate by exposing them to a book that is nothing more than political sabotage, David Shuster, sitting in for Christ Matthews, opened a panel discussion about the Corsi book reporting that Media Matters and Facts Check (both media companies formed to check the validity of information provided to the public by political candidates, media, etc.) discovered innumerable lies in the Corsi book.
Rich Masters who was representing the Democratic side of the discourse and Mike Paul a Republican strategist vigorously debated the book and its value.
Mike Paul made a blatant misrepresentation of the facts. He argued that because The Obama Nation…was number #1 on the New York Times non-fiction book list it was obvious that a number of people were interested in the book and thereby gave the book value.
Mr. Paul who positions himself as a professional should know that with all conservative authors, the Republican rightwing places pre-publication orders in sufficient quantities to automatically assure them a place on the New York Times Best Seller list from day one of their publication. If Mike Paul were a real professional he would have known this and not used it as a assertion in his debate with Rick Masters.
The New York Times Best Sellers List is rigged by the shenanigans of the far-right. Whether it is Corsi, Ann Coulter, Charles Krauthammer, Bill Kristol or a host of other ultra-conservatives authors, they are confident of a place on the Best Seller list by individuals and organizations who place these pre-publication orders.
Corsi is scum and a total disgrace to the political discourse that should comprise an honest and open political debate by all parties. In my opinion he deserves to be tarred and feathered. He is partially responsible for George W. Bush’s victory in 2004 by dishonoring the name of John Kerry, a true American hero while supporting a true draft dodger who spent his military service in the political jungle of Alabama working on the political campaign of one of his father’s old buddies.
The New York Times, also, has an obligation to clean up the method it employs to compile its Best Seller’s List and to end the fraud that the right utilizes to make certain their brand of authors make it to the top of the most prestigious book list in the country at the expense of truly deserving writers.
Every word that Corsi includes in his book deserves the most intense scrutiny of any author or pseudo-author in America. In my opinion he is a liar, a fraud, and every word that makes its way from his computer and onto the proposed page of a book must be placed under the most serious examination before anyone with an ounce of intelligence dare believes it.
