THE CLINTONS CAME THROUGH FOR BARACK SUPERBLY

When the former president confirmed his honest belief that Barack Obama is prepared to be president and more importantly, Commander-in-Chief he put to rest the biggest concern the American voters have been contemplating.

And when Joe Biden made the very profound  statement: “What we need is not a good soldier but a wise leader.” He put to rest once and for all the major concerns about Obama’s capacity to take on the presidency

There  are times when twenty-four hour cable drives me to distraction. If they can find something to disparage they will create something.  When they interview people, they ask the most asinine questions and often the most embarrassing.

It was the media that created and then expanded the split in the Democratic Party between Obama forces and those committed to Hillary.

Yes, indeed, there were some very hurt Clinton supporters who made very hurtful remarks about the Obama people after Hillary lost the nomination. They had worked long and hard for her and felt that the “super delegates” turned on her and that the media had conducted an anti-feminine attack on Hillary by the way they covered her candidacy.

And then there was the really mean sob’s from Puma and Just Say No Deal who, in my mind, were back by McCain supporters to embarrass Obama. Some stipulated that they could not vote for Obama because of the way he and his people treated her after the primaries, because he did not select her as his Vice-Presidential candidate, and, of course, the role she and the former president was to play in the convention.

The media rode this horse until it fell over exhausted on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings when Hillary spoke on Tuesday and delivered and absolutely fantastic endorsement and Bill who spoke on Wednesday when he delivered one of the best speeches he ever made.

Obama forces could not have asked for more. Thus, contrary to all the fuss the media made over the rift in the Democratic Party, when Bill Clinton left the podium, the Party was as united as any party can be.

Rather than turning their appearances into episodes of self-aggrandizement, they performed the task the Party sorely needed, endorsements of Barack Obama as their Party’s candidate for the presidency and more importantly his ability to perform the task of commander-in-chief of the United States of America.

They presented themselves as the professionals they have been in the past and not only professionals, but loyal Democrats who support their Party whether they win or lose.

The nation saw and heard two grand human beings who came through when the Party needed them to heal and put their effort and energies to campaign for the election of Barack Obama for President and Commander-in-Chief of the United States.
