BILL BENNETT AND SEAN HANNITY ARE JUST TWO OF THE MANY REPUBLICANS WOUNDED BY THE “HARSH” [THEIR WORD] TREATMENT BY WANDA SYKES!

THE WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS' DINNER IS ONE OF THE FEW TIMES EACH YEAR WHEN THE DEMOCRATS ARE IN CONTROL THAT THEY CAN GET EVEN WITH MALEVOLENT TONGUES OF THE FAR RIGHT!

GET USED TO IT-- GOP! NO MORE MR. NICE GUYS ON THE LEFT! YOU HAVE BELITTLED, BERATED, AND BROW BEATEN THE LIBERAL ARM OF AMERICA UNTIL THERE WAS NOTHING BUT A THIN PIECE OF BLACK AND BLUE FLESHY TISSUE REMAINING--UNTIL NOW.

Bill Bennett, a CNN conservative commentator, former Secretary of Education, and loud mouthed pundit for the far right, along with his wife “Elaine Bennett” [as he inevitably calls her—not “Elaine,” not “Mrs. Bennett,” but inevitably “Elaine Bennett,” as if she were an appendage and not a wife, friend and lover] were so horrified by the callousness, meanness, harmful language of Wanda Sykes the African American television co-star on The New Adventures of Old Christine.” that they for the second time walked out on the evening designed for merriment and jollity.

At the annual White House Correspondence Dinner, Sykes let it all hang out especially on the person of Rush Limbaugh. You will recall Limbaugh repeatedly said on his radio talk show that he personally hoped that the Obama’s Recovery and Reinvestment plan failed because rather than allow private enterprise do the work, Obama is obligating billions of tax payers money to save the banks, insurance companies, brokerage houses and automobile manufactures from drowning in an inkwell of red inky debt.

Limbaugh wants it to fail, simply because he wants Obama and the Democrats to fail, he wants any and all undertakings by the newly elected federal government to fail.

What Limbaugh and other of his like mind-set fail to comprehend is that if President Obama’s plan fails, the entire economy of the United States fails and all of us go down with the sinking economy. Our jobs will be gone. Our bank accounts will be drained of all assets. Our health insurance coverage will vanish.  Our kids’ college educational funds will be employed to keep our houses out of the avaricious hands of foreclosure, to continue putting food on the table, clothes on our family’s back and doctor bills our elapsed health insurance no longer covers.

Our banks and other basic industries will be forced into mergers by foreign financial giants or dissolution by their debtors; and our entire economy will be despoiled by scavengers who do nothing but gorge themselves with wounded companies.

Ms. Sykes said that Limbaugh who wants our president’s recovery plan to fail, also wants our soldiers to be unsuccessful in Iraq and Afghanistan, our entire economy to be reduced to a pile of ashes and the country most of us deeply love and decidedly respect to be reduced to a third rate country.

While Bennett, Hannity and friends quiver with anger and embarrassment over the comments of Sykes about Limbaugh, how do they react to the following Limbaugh comments?

Daniel Kurtzman compiled the following Limbaugh quotes for About.com/Politics:

In his rage over the candidacy of Barack Obama, Limbaugh made this comment over and over again: “I will guaran-damn-tee you there will not be a terrorist attack before the election.  And you know why there won’t be one? And you know why there won’t be one? Because they want Obama elected.”

“Hamas has endorsed Obama. Hamas has endorsed Obama.”

In 2008, the highly overpaid chatterer made this inane statement: “ . . .Islam-o-fascists are actually campaigning for the Democrats. Islam-o-fascists from [Iranian President Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad to [Al Qaeda leader Ayman] al –Zawahiri…Osama bin Laden, whoever; are constantly issuing Democrat talking points.”

"He is exaggerating the effects of the disease. He's moving all around and shaking and it's purely an act. ... This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn't take his medication or he's acting." --on an ad by Michael J. Fox endorsing Claire McCaskill for Senate (MO) for supporting embryonic stem cell research.”

[Rush Limbaugh] “And don't forge, Sherrod Brown (OH) is black. There's a racial component here, too. And now, the newspaper that I'm reading all this from is The New York Times, and they, of course, don't mention that." [the facts]--on the 2006 Ohio Senate primary race involving then-Rep. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), who is white.” [Seriously, Rush Limbaugh is either colorblind or a f……g liar.]

"This is no different than what happens at the Skull and Bones initiation...I'm talking about people having a good time, these people, have you ever heard of emotional release? You ever heard of the need to blow some steam off?" --on the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal”

[Limbaugh comments on the women’s movement.] "Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society.”

"She comes to me when she wants to be fed. And after I feed her -- guess what -- she's off to wherever she wants to be in the house, until the next time she gets hungry. She's smart enough to know she can't feed herself. She's actually a very smart cat. She gets loved. She gets adoration. She gets petted. She gets fed. And she doesn't have to do anything for it, which is why I say this cat's taught me more about women, than anything my whole life." [Limbaugh’s comparison of a wife’s life with a cat’s life].

"The only way to reduce the number of nuclear weapons is to use them."

"The phony soldiers!" –Limbaugh’s reaction to  U.S. service members who support withdrawal from Iraq.

Can Bennett or Hannity and friends listen to words like these come out of the mouth of the biggest windbag in the country and not be ashamed that he is a Republican and not only a Republican, but one that former Vice President Dick Cheney recently told Bob Schieffer on CBS’s Face the Nation he preferred over General Colin Powell as a member of his party.

Should anyone, Republican or Democrat, be standing up to defend Limbaugh who has done more damage to America and talk radio than anyone in the entire country? It is said that he has 20 million listeners everyday. I did not realize that we had that many dim-witted people in the country.

Wanda gave Limbaugh holy hell for his statement that “he hoped Obama’s plan for recovery fails.” She countered with an opinion that Limbaugh had committed treason and that she personally hoped Limbaugh’s kidneys failed.

She also suggested that maybe “…Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker, but he was just so strung out on OxyContin, he missed his flight.”

The Republicans present went into a coma from which many have yet to recover. And as I mentioned earlier, at this point Bill Bennett and Elaine Bennett [always Elaine Bennett] walked out.

I may be wrong, but to my recollection [which as I get older and older I find to be less and less trustworthy], Bill Bennett has never raised his voice in protest over the innumerable deeply injurious comments that Hannity and Limbaugh and half of the Fox News team made about Obama over the past two or so years. From across the airwaves which are in the public domain if on an assigned television channel or over the satellite or cable came these deleterious words out of the mouth of some female Fox news reporter about the new president of the United States which I found appalling even if they just happened to be distorted and improperly defined: “Socialist!” “Communist!” “Fascist!” And a host of uncorroborated names designed to malign the Mr. Obama. It is unbelievable that Fox would put people on the air who are not educated enough to know the true definition of such words or are too lazy to “Google” them on the internet.

I for one found Wanda Sykes to be within the bounds of civility, extremely hilarious and other than the president’s particularly humorous speech, the highlight of the night.

If I were a Republican, I would do everything within my power to gag many of the voices whose diatribes are an insult to the president, to the country and to the future of the Republican Party. Included in that list would be Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, Bill Bennett, Peggy Noonan, Ann Coulter, (whose book sales have plummeted in recent months), Laura Ingraham, Dick Morris who is a two-faced, double crossing liar, Charles Krauthammer, and others too numerous to mention in this short posting.

The Republicans need a sense of humor. Bill Bennett is such a pompous ass and Sean Hannity such a disgrace to his profession that I am perplexed to realize that they cannot see the good that already has come from the new administration after only four short months in office.

The Republicans held a get together somewhere in Northern Virginia recently in which Jeb Bush, Newt Gingrich and other names under consideration for the party’s nomination for president in 2012.  I again call for a restraining order against all Bushes from coming within 500 yards of the White House for a minimum of twenty years and to remind those who are making the preposterous attempt to rename the Democratic Party, the Democratic-Socialist Party to look up the word “Socialist”,  to keep their lying eyes off the name of the party in power over whose name they have no authority to change and deal with their own problems which are deeper than its name, but whose symbol could be changed from an elephant to that of a lemming [you know that little rodent-like creature that appeared in the Disney movie that were so dumb that without thinking they followed their leaders over the cliff into the dark valley of death.

Why do you think the GOP got their asses kicked so badly in 2006 and 2008 and after George W. Bush’s eight ruinous years in the presidency, they deserved the painful thrashing the voters administered on November 4, 2008.
