P.S. On the environmental front... George Bush's moving Mike Leavitt from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (to the top job at the Department of Health and Human Services) leaves the EPA Administrator slot open for yet another termed-out Republican Governor. Bush's first appointment to the position was Christie Whitman, former Governor of New Jersey... then came Leavitt, former Governor of Utah. Leading the pack to replace Leavitt are Governor Dirk Kempthorne of Idaho and former-Governor John Engler of Michigan -- both Republicans.
