Shadegg for Majority Leader
In the election for the new Republican majority leader, the choice is between Roy Blunt, who has been a fierce opponent of reform as part of the leadership even as Congress became more corrupt than at any time since the Gilded Age. There's John Boehner, who as one of Newt Gingrich's "team" helped create the K Street project which set out to make Congress indistinguishable from, and inextricably linked to, Republican lobbyists in Washington. And then there's John Shadegg, who is as conservative as it's possible to be and still vote for wildly bloated government. But Rep. Shadegg has no record of fostering a culture of corruption. I would rather an extreme conservative (what used to be called a Shiite Republican) be Majority Leader than one of the other two, who have purposely, and deliberately, done so much to foster a culture of corruption in Washington.

John Dufilho-Now I'm A Stick Figure Mr. Dufilho is the leader of the Deathray Davies, who are, quite simply, one of the world's greatest bands. This is from his first solo album. I don't want to encourage him to pursue a solo career, but I do want him to keep making music. This is much more mellow than most of the Deathray songs, but it's pretty, with a spare sound.
