The Big Mo
Liberal Republican Senator Lincoln Chafee won a highly contested Republican primary in ultra-liberal Rhode Island. He still faces a tightly contested general election against Rhode Island AG Sheldon Whitehouse, a Democratic politician with superior political skills. Republicans are hopeful that this will give them momentum going into November. Well, let's see: Conservative Republicans turned out in anemic numbers in the primary. If conservatives don't bother to vote anywhere in the country, I grant you, one political party will have a huge win in November. But do you really think it'll be the Republicans? Seriously?
