Weekly Update: Flickr Favorites
Okay, I know, I know. This is supposed to be a Sunday edition post; however, since I was away from my computer most of the day, I am going to claim Juneau, Alaska time as my own and get it in just under the wire (with grammar and style-related edits surely to follow).
Most American (Hey...It's Baseball and Free Speech, after all!)
"2005/03/05: Politics" by Urban Tiki.

Although, I typically leave the political commentary to my wise and articulate fellow Salon Bloggers, I just couldn't resist picking this photo as a favorite. I think my reason for picking the photo is self-explanatory. Please click on Urban Tiki's link to read some wonderful commentary about Detroit's political climate.
Most Unlikely Spot for a David Sedaris Book-Signing
"Bus" by Aqui-Ali.

I chose this photo because I have never been able to pass by a bookstore without stopping to browse, and I sure as hell wouldn't pass this one up if I happened across it while driving through Nevada.
Most Introspective
"Organized Chaos" by Kren

I like this photo because it reminds me of just about every over-worked, over-stressed, artistically-confounded man I've ever dated. I think that there is a real universal quality to the expression in this man's face.
Most Lovely Family Shot
"Sister & Little Sister" by Flixz
Protected by Creative Commons
I chose this lovely photo because of the richness of its subject-matter, the warmth of its tone, and the "content of its character." I think that it is simply amazing. I just discovered the photographer, Flixz, this week, and he has quickly risen in status to one of my favorite Flickr photographers.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the forethought to email the following photographers to ask them for permission to post their photographs. I wish I hadn't been remiss in doing so because the following photographs are very realized pieces of artistic expression. You can still view the photos by clicking on the following links.

Slight Clutter's Flickr Photos
This week's favorite among my photos, as chosen by the people at Flickr, is "Non-Committal." Once again we have my cat, Pushka Bear, showing off for the camera.

In second place... "Lamp Post."
