pets! games! ooo!
I went a little mental on this website that allows you to adopt
bizarre little interactive cyber creatures. This is what technology has
brought us to....pet fulfillment without feeding, cages, wood chips,
plastic baggies or nipped fingers. So, without further ado...click on them! I think my nurturing instincts might be in overdrive...

Yes, a hamster named Rosario. I have no idea WHY I named the hamster
Rosario, other than the fact that I've never met a hamster by that
name. I'm not one for 'Fluffy' or 'Buttons' or pettish names like
those...I like to give a pet an actual name, and further, a name that
seems a bit ironic for the kind of pet they are. Rosario is such a
lyrical name. Can you think of an animal less lyrical than the average
hamster?

Sigh...I miss my cat. Granted, the damn thing kept me awake at night
with random, senile meowing, but I could handle it all for the secure,
happy feeling of a fuzzy beast curling up in my lap while I tried to
write. Lola is a name that reminds me of Vegas showgirls, which we all
know cats are, at heart.
As am I.

I plan to have a dog one day, when that's possible. Dogs need lots
of time and love and energy -- all of which I have -- but they also
need a lot of food, and that costs money. But one day...one day. I love
big dogs...when I was a kid, dogs made me skittish because of one evil
dog in particular that used to bite me all the time (and all the other
kids, too) at the playground where I hung out. I sustained some doozy
nips from that nasty little thing. But my dog Jake would be sweet as
honey, and peaceful as a summer day. And he wouldn't bite anyone but
say...ex-boyfriends.
I think I need something of my own to take care of, and then I'll stop hassling little animals on the net. But before I go...
Okay, I might be a little overtired...
