The good old hockey game...
So, it was a good game. It really was.
I took my dad to see the Canucks in their first home game. We love hockey. It's one of our shared joys.
Now, granted -- it's just the preseason, so they are finding their skating legs, adjusting to the ridiculously stupid new shootout system, and making sure their goalies don't work the puck in the corners (as per the new rules) -- but it's still an exciting thing to be a part of. We yelled, we ate hot dogs, we drank orange soda, and we laughed at the commentary of those around us.
We even spent time peering through tiny binoculars. Fun!
My dad had his digicam there, so he took some great shots. I used the digicam and the binocs together to try and nab a close- up of my precious no. 16, Trevor Linden. I'll include that photo here so you can mock me.
I'm going to do the hockey post that has long been requested here, and I'm going to do it on Sunday. But for now, a binoc-sized glimpse into the game.
And we lost...just so you know.
