now you can live the cabin life!

Oh yes. That time has come.

I have to say thank you to Christina for helping me navigate the tough waters of image creation, and I also have to laugh at the fact that...well....my blog has t-shirts. If I tried to explain any of this to my grandfather, I think he'd laugh at me.

"You write stuff about nothing in particular, and you put it on a page on the Internet, and people read it, and then they buy t-shirts to celebrate the page?"

"Yes. Well, I mean, no one has yet, but maybe they will."

"Right. Can you pass the turkey?"

Still -- it's damn fun.

If you grab one, make sure to take a picture of yourself wearing it, and I'll post it here. The Blogcabin Gallery! Thanks, guys!

10:32:58 PM    well, yes, but...  []

Life is full of simple joys, I tell you. And when I say simple, I mean simple. Entire volumes could be written about how easily impressed I am. And I think you know I could write volumes.

But instead, I'll just offer some notions of goodness, to start the day:

1. A sunny morning in Vancouver (notable in rarity, exceptional in beauty)
2. Catching other people smiling to themselves in private moments in public places
3. The first kick of coffee on your palate, and the way the coffee guys at my coffee place watch you intently to see how it will go...
4. New writing assignments
5. Wind that is strong enough to ruffle your hair, but not strong enough to blow away your newspaper
6. Leaves turning and dropping like bits of brown paper to the ground
7. The man with the baby girl who gets on my bus -- in his suit and tie, holding this beautiful little thing -- and proceeds to quietly feed his daughter Cheerios as we all ride together in the morning
8. Pomegranates
9. Everyone updating their blogs!
10. Comment memes:

In the comments, write the names of the last five songs you heard, the last really good insight someone gave you, and the first five things you did this morning.

Go!
6:43:40 AM    well, yes, but...  []
