Yankees attack NYC!
The Washington Post reported today that a small plane, owned by NY Yankee pitcher Cory Lidle, crashed into a high-rise condominium in Manhattan. In the most ridiculously obvious statement of the day NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg said "In this day and age, everyone is very sensitive when they hear about planes crashing into a building..." Well, yeah! Exactly when were we not sensitive about planes crashing into buildings? What I want to know is when George "dubya" Bush is going to do something about this Yankee act of aggression against American soil? This country has put up with the damn Yankees long enough, it's time to do something about George bin Steinbrenner. He has been taunting us for years. We should have known that they were dangerous as they've always gone around calling themselves "The Bronx Bombers." If that wasn't a clue! How did the CIA miss on this one? Now the Yankees have gone too far. In the past their transgressions have been limited to raiding other teams, kidnapping Damon from Boston, ransoming A-Rod from Seattle. We've tried sanctions (in the form of a luxury tax) but they've remained undeterred. Maybe we should send the National Guard into the Bronx. We could take some of the units that have served in Iraq, hell the Bronx looks a bit like Baghdad anyway. The place already looks like a war zone. It's time to take these damn Yankees down! Stay the course! I'd say we could be out of the Bronx by 2010, provided we can find bin Steinbrenner.
